About

Hey y’all,

Welcome to my blog! Pursuit of Prep is a place where I hope to inspire my readers to channel their inner preppy style. I decided to blog because I love fashion and wanted to share my perspective with others.  I will post as often as I can; I will post outfits, style essentials, hauls, styling tips, organization, and about life in general. Feel free to comment ideas of what you would like me to post about.

I live and go to high school in a suburb of Denver. My high school is the largest public high school in Colorado and I’m so proud to attend there! Colorado is seen by many as the antithesis of prep. I certainly see why people think this way of my home state.  Among the trendy teenagers and style-less adults, many people have lost sight of traditional style and have leaned towards the tragic style that most people justify under the guise of being  “comfortable”. Instead of falling into the very coveted trends of today, I prefer to clothe myself in what was the norm back in the good ol’ days.

    1. Hi Kathy,
For cold days that get warm (which is basically everyday in Colorado), I like wearing cardigans or light jackets. Also, I prefer wearing skirts or dresses with boots so that I don’t get too cold in the morning, because I think it’s better to have legs exposed to the cold rather than arms. Lastly, try wearing flats and jeans with a light long sleeved top. By wearing jeans, you’ll keep warm, but when it gets hot out, your feet can breathe. Hope this helps!

  1. What a cute blog! I love the fact that you are from Colorado!! I lived in Durango (in the Southwest) for 10 months during my junior year of college and it was the most amazing experience ever!

But the style part is true, I saw more people in their pajamas rather than well dressed for class… But I also went to a very hippie school so I don’t know if that’s the norm around the state.

I can’t wait to follow your blog, check out mine if you’d like to! 🙂

    1. Oh that’s so neat! I’m glad you enjoyed it; I live just outside Denver. I rarely see pajamas haha but it’a unlikely that I see people who dress welll (at my school anyways) :/. Thanks for the follow, I’m excited to check out your blog soon!

  2. Absolutely love your blog! I didn’t know you were from Denver. We have a condo in Breckenridge so I’m out there 3-4 times a year. Colorado is easily the best state 😉 Anyways I just wanted to say that I love your blog and your insta and look forward to seeing our blogs grow!
